My Story

Los Angeles, California, USA
Travel wasn’t always part of my career plan.
After finishing school, I trained for a completely different career and spent the next few years working in a traditional office environment - the kind of job where most days meant sitting behind a desk from 8 to 5.
While I learned a lot during that time, I quickly realized that this lifestyle wasn’t what I wanted for myself in the long run. I wanted more than the same routine every day.
I wanted to see more of the world, experience new places and build a life that felt a little less predictable.
I had always dreamed of spending
a year living in the United States,
so at the beginning of 2022, I decided to take the leap and move to California as an au pair.
For a year, California became my home. I lived with my host family and took care of two little boys — but whenever I had the chance, I was exploring.
I traveled throughout California and other parts of the US, discovering places I had previously only dreamed about seeing.
That year completely changed the way I looked at travel. I fell even more in love with the US, discovered some incredible places and collected so many experiences along the way.

California in particular will always be special to me — and after spending a year living there rather than simply visiting, I got to know a side of it that goes far beyond the typical tourist spots.
When my year abroad came to an end, I knew one thing for sure: I didn’t want to go back to spending my days behind a desk.
That’s when my next adventure began:
I became a flight attendant.
What started as a new career quickly became a lifestyle I genuinely love. Even years later, I still enjoy being constantly on the move, waking up in different cities, discovering new destinations and learning something new with every trip.
Along the way, I’ve learned countless little things that make traveling easier —
how to pack smarter, what’s actually worth bringing, how to make long travel days more comfortable and how to make the most of a destination even when you only have a short amount of time.
And that’s exactly why I created
The Travel Edit.
It’s a place where I can share the destinations I love, the travel tips I’ve picked up along the way and the little finds that genuinely make life on the go easier.
